Today starts a new journey for 365 days. There have been many of these challenges for many different reasons, but the reason I want to start it is to celebrate life. See I have done this challenge before and posted a photo everyday starting June 10, 2010 till May 31st 2011 (this album still lives on my Facebook page in 2 albums). Now that 7 years has passed a lot has changed. I’m engaged, I have a new job, and I live in a new city… I’m basically starting over, but in a positive way.
I have tried this blogging thing before more or less for myself, and decided I need a change and what better way than to document it by taking photos and writing about it. Each day I’m going to try to post a photo about why I’m celebrating life that day. The reasons are really only for me, but I will tell you from looking back 7 years ago at the 365 album that year a lot had changed.
I think we change every day as people or individuals, and we don’t give ourselves enough credit. Change is hard, happiness is hard, let’s face it we are distracted all the time by many different things and it is hard to focus on what really matters, and that is you. By no means am I an expert of anything all I know is my own life experiences, but how many times do you run into people that share advice, life lessons, or overall knowledge and you think “man that person is awesome, or thank you for xyz…” it’s those experiences that make us grow as individuals.
The past year I have really started to learn and grow as a person each day, and it’s not easy. Whether it’s personal growth, financial growth, relationship growth etc. there is always somewhere to grow, and the minute you stop growing is the minute you stop living. So for 365 “I” commit to growth, positivity, celebration, love, passion, healing, knowledge, strength, and ambition. These are the things that are important to me, and hopefully you will learn or take some piece of this with you. Why not try it out yourself? What do you have to lose?

Rules:
- Post a photo or at least take a photo every day. I know life gets busy so you can always post later, but remember why you took your photo and have a great caption, and tag your friends!
- Blog at least once a week… this doesn’t have to be for everyone. This could be a diary/journal you keep with you every day, could be a daily reflection/memory, or could be a weekly re-cap. You decide what works for you.
- Keep it positive. Who wants to look back a year later on something negative? Now this doesn’t mean you can’t post things that affect you in a “negative” way, but if you grew from that experience then really it’s positive… have an optimistic outlook on the negative things.
- Use the hashtag #365celebratelife if you want to make it your own go ahead, but hashtags are a great way to unite others who are celebrating life like you... or for yourself to keep track of what day you're one.
- Last but not least share it… share it with your family, friends, a stranger, everyone! I’m putting myself out there with the photos, blogs, and an idea to help ME grow, and that’s OK. If others decide they want to do it too, cool! If no one else does it, reads it, or shares anything that is also OK too, because in the end I’m doing this for ME! Plus looking back years later is pretty cool.
